FOCUS (the core of the content to be communicated)

Easter Sunday is the earthly bookend to the story of Jesus that began the day He was born. (Of course, that could only happen because of the day He was

conceived.) This is the affirmation & culmination of why it is He took on human form. He came as one of us to make & be the way to rescue all who would

believe.

It merits mentioning again that the significance of this day could have been abruptly & totally silenced by simply producing Jesus’ dead body. He was publicly

nailed to a cross. Many saw His dead body taken down & placed in a tomb. Even if someone had stolen His dead body, it could & would have been located by

the Romans. Unless, of course, there wasn’t a dead body to be found.

And that’s why we’re here today. And that’s why the world isn’t hopeless. And that’s why we’ve been commissioned by the Risen One to keep telling The Story.

Because Jesus rose, ascended & is returning …

1.

we must be completely dialed in to the victory we have in Him.

Nothing could stop God. His resurrection power now resides in us. -Luke 24:5 & 36-53

2.

there’s no time to lose concerning our purpose & place in this world.

We are who we are where we are for the sake of the gospel. -Matthew 28:18-20 / Acts 1:8

Making It Real

1]

Do you know that Jesus’ victory for you becomes His victory in & through you?

2]

Is your desire & commitment to live the risen life as Jesus’ witness every day?

Action Step

Take one of the print outs of Matthew 28:18-20 & Acts 1:8 with you as you go today. Place it somewhere you’ll see it every day through the end of this

month. Be sure to read it all at least once a day. Ask God to make it your experience in a fresh way.
